Attack On Titan a.k.a Shingeki No Kyojin to the manga readers had been made into an anime series in 2013 and took the entire world by a storm. It's become so popular that when the topic of anime arises people are bound to mention this anime.
This is an intense anime. After the few starting episodes one can see what made this series so popular. It hooks up the viewer into the story-line with its action and suspenseful plot twists. The creators have done an awesome job with the animation and Tetsurou has done a tremendous job in directing the series. The best part of this show is how the viewers gain the knowledge about the titans gradually.
The characters are awesome and the viewers love it when they see how the titan killing action changes and shapes the characters. The voice actors have lived up to their roles and deserve a thumbs up. The OP fits the anime perfectly and the various soundtracks used in the anime are sort of overpowered, cool and create a nice tempo for the fighting scenes.
The only drawback in this series is that it ends at an arc and you will have to wait for the next season or start with the manga. The plot has no holes and it is full to the brim with plot twists that are impossible to predict and that makes it further more enjoyable to watch.
Well the plot takes place in a world that takes place several hundred years ago when the humans were nearly exterminated by the titans. The titans devour the humans for their pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity has survived by building huge walls to keep titans away from them. After a hundred years Eren and his foster sister witness something horrible as the walls are broken by a colossal titan who appeared out of thin air and the small titans flood the city and destroy it. Eren vows to kill all the titans after witnessing the horror of his mother being eaten alive by a titan.
Verdict : For the viewers out there who seek action, thrill, tragedy and can deal with some bloodshed, this anime is definitely a must watch.
