No Game No Life is definitely one of those anime that you don’t want to miss. The best part of this series is that it has a very unique and interesting plot and if that wasn’t enough we are treated with a unique and unusual color palette which may be liked by some and hated by others. On a personal level I believe the creators have done an excellent job with the animation and have made it vibrant and beautiful.

The unique plot will make sure that you get hooked up easily to the anime but on the later part the series becomes somewhat predictive but it is still compensated by the excellent episode transitions. Hats off to Ishizuka for doing a splendid job with the development of the storyline. It makes the viewer’s curious to watch the next episode. The fan services are well used and it is ensured that the services are not the center of attention for this series. The voice actors have done a splendid job and they deserve a thumbs up. The opening sequences are masterpieces but the Original Sound Tracks are not that remarkable.

The best part of this series is the wits of the main characters. Their ability to predict about the games they play and how they face the challenges despite the odds against them intrigues the viewers. The characters are also good but they somewhat lack development and we are kept in dark about the character’s pasts which I believe will be brought to light in the next season of this epic series.

The plot revolves around Sora and Shiro, brother and sister who are shut-in gamers and brilliant NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training). They consider the world also to be a crappy game. One day they are summoned to an alternate world by a kid called God where everything is decided by games. This other world also has other races and humanity has been driven back to one city by the other races. So will Sora and Shiro be able to become the “Saviors of Humanity”?

Verdict : This anime is must for everyone out there who are willing to watch a fun anime series with a unique storyline. For gamers (not only computer gamers) it’s a wonderful treat and viewers would wish for the second season to start as soon as possible.
